  • 113 FMU Student-Athletes Named to PBC Presidential Honor Roll

    The Peach Belt Conference announced that 1,517 student-athletes have been named to the 28th-annual Presidential Honor Roll. The list includes a record 113 student-athletes from Francis Marion University. Each of FMU’s 14 sponsored-sports were recognized on the list.

  • FMU Holds 49th-Annual Athletic Gala

    Francis Marion University recently held its 49th-annual Athletic Gala in the university’s Performing Arts Center. Most Valuable Player awards were given in 14 sports and for the first time the athletic department awarded 13 Frankie Awards, including the Swamp Fox Academic Award, the Ray E. Thames Memorial Raise the Roof Award, and the Mark Haselden Sportsmanship Award.

    Francis Marion University women’s soccer coach Lindsey Morgan has announced the addition of five players to her 2019 recruiting class: forward Bridget Barrett of Cary, N.C., forward Maggie Cross of Anaheim, Calif., forward Brooke Hopson of Mount Pleasant, S.C., forward and midfielder Zenia Nava of Thomson, Ga., and forward and outside midfielder Alyssa Rosado of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
