Following the historic 200th win in program history on Sunday, the Francis Marion University women's soccer team quickly returns to Hartzler Field on Tuesday (Oct. 2) to take on Columbia College at 7 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and FMU students are admitted free. The contest will also be streamed live online courtesy of the Patriot Sports Network.
FMU (3-5-0) is coming off of its first Peach Belt Conference victory of the season, knocking off Georgia Southwestern State University 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday. Freshman Christina Rice scored the game-winner for the Patriots, the first of her collegiate career.
Sophomore Dayle McEwen's seven goals lead Francis Marion and rank fourth in the PBC. Freshman goalkeeper Rachael Hennenkamp leads the conference with 47 saves, 30 of which have come in the Patriots' last three matches.
Columbia College (4-3-0) is coming off of a 2-1 loss at Tennessee Wesleyan University over the weekend. The Koalas are led by senior midfielder Ruby Hallam, who has scored eight goals and tallied five assists. Freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Angeles has made 28 saves and owns a .737 save percentage through six starts.
Tuesday's contest will be the first-ever meeting between the Patriots and the Koalas in women's soccer.
