    Francis Marion University women’s basketball coach Jeri Porter has announced that 5-6 guard Camryn Johnson of Fort Washington, Md., will join the Patriots’ program this fall after transferring from Division I University of Louisiana at Monroe. She will have three years of eligibility at FMU.

The honors are presented by Diverse magazine, a publication that addresses issues in higher education.

    Francis Marion University recently held its 48th-annual Athletic Awards Gala in the university’s Performing Arts Center. Most Valuable Player awards were given in 14 sports. A school spirit award, most outstanding cheerleader award, and a student-athlete award were also presented.
