Francis Marion University has scheduled two sessions of its annual Tennis Camp 2019, July 8-11 and July 29-August 1, for boys and girls ages 8 to 18.
The camp will be held Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon on the Kassab Courts on the FMU campus.
The cost will be $60 per camper per session. A special discounted rate of $100 is offered if attending both sessions. Enrollment is limited. Each camper will receive a T-shirt.
FMU men's and women's tennis coach Garth Thomson is the camp coordinator and instructor. A native of Zimbabwe, Thomson is a graduate of Francis Marion and a former two-time All-American during his collegiate playing career. Five times he has earned Peach Belt Conference "Coach of the Year" honors. Entering his 27th year at FMU, he has led the Patriot men to a 354-209 record and 18 NCAA Division II national tournament appearances, and guided the Patriot women to a 369-218 mark and 15 national tournament berths.
Refunds for cancellations will be given at the following rates: 4 weeks or more before the camp 100%, 2-to-4 weeks before the camp 50%, and less than 2 weeks before the camp 25%.
