FMU Men ranked 33rd in final tennis poll, Doubles duo #23

The Francis Marion University men's tennis team is ranked 33rd in the final 2019 Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II Top 50 national poll that was recently released.

Francis Marion appears in the final national men's poll for the 24th straight year, and the 25th of the past 26 seasons.

The young 2019 Patriot squad did not include any seniors and finished with a 10-10 mark and placed eighth in the Peach Belt Conference regular-season standings.  All 10 losses were to nationally ranked opponents.

The FMU doubles team of sophomores William Anth-Forsberg and Charles Hutchings ended the year ranked 23rd nationally.  The duo combined to post a 9-8 record playing at the No.1 position.

In 27 seasons, Patriot head coach Garth Thomson has amassed a 354-209 career coaching record at the helm of the Patriot men.
