    Francis Marion University senior shortstop CJ Mackinson has been named to the prestigious 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Baseball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Sykesville, Md., native was a second-team selection.

    Francis Marion University baseball coach Art Inabinet has announced the signing of three junior college transfers – second baseman and outfielder Vince Hanna of Lake City, right-handed pitcher Daniel Twitty of Sumter, and third baseman Todd Mattox of Winnsboro – and a high school senior – right-handed pitcher Dylan Kuehne of Surfside Beach – to national letters of intent to attend FMU this fall.

A trio of Patriot homers and a key defensive play in the bottom of the ninth allowed FMU to claim a 6-5 victory in game two and a sweep of the twin bill.
