Sports Performance

The sports performance department at Francis Marion University strives to improve the athletic performance of each individual student-athlete while reducing the prevalence of injuries sustained in their sport.  This is accomplished by implementing sport specific programs that are designed to keep athletes healthy while also developing their athletic ability.

The Francis Marion University Sports Performance department seeks to develop each athlete’s athletic performance capabilities.  This is accomplished by implementing appropriate strength, speed, flexibility, plyometric, mobility, and conditioning programs to develop a complete collegiate athlete.  Wide ranges of training protocols are used to challenge each athlete to become stronger and faster.   Additionally, expectations surrounding the sports performance program include: accountability, hard work, and a positive attitude.
