Jennifer Guiry begins her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Francis Marion University.
A native of Sumter, S.C. Guiry earned a B.S. degree in athletic training from Winthrop University in 2011 and a M.S. degree in kinesiology from California State University, Northridge in 2014.
She comes to Florence having most recently worked as the head athletic trainer and an instructor at Windermere High School in Florida, where she oversaw and managed the treatment of over 600 student-athletes. While at Windermere, she developed a student athletic training aide program which included basic hands-on athletic training skills education. She also served as a clinical preceptor for the Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Central Florida.
Previously, Guiry spent three years as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of California, Riverside. During her time at UC Riverside, she served as a clinical preceptor for the entry-level Master’s Athletic Training Education program at California Baptist University.
She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and is certified with the American Red Cross (CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid Instructor) and in Mental Health First Aid.
