Adam Gilson is entering his second year as the Sports Preformance Coach at Francis Marion University. During the year, he works with all 14 intercollegiate sports at FMU.
He joined the Patriot staff in Oct. 2018 after serving as an athletic performance graduate assistant at UNC Pembroke for two years. He earned a master's degree in exercise and sports administration from UNCP in December 2018.
He previously earned a B.S. degree in human biology (emphasis in exercise science) from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2015, and an associate's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in 2013.
Gilson holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Mental Health First Aid.
His previous work experience includes serving as an assistant strength and speed coach in Fayetteville, N.C., working as a personal trainer in Green Bay, Wis., and being an assistant baseball coach at Reedsville (Wis.) High School. He has also worked as a strength and conditioning intern at Campbell University and completed an internship at UNCP.
Gilson is a native of Green Bay.
