Fans can follow the game action with video and live stats at http://www.fmupatriots.com/sports/wbkb/2017-18/schedule, courtesy of the Patriot Sports Network. The admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students, and FMU students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
The Patriot women's squad (11-4, 8-2) is coming off a 3-0 road trip where they defeated Georgia Southwestern, Columbus State, and Augusta. Junior Shaunice Fulmore leads Francis Marion with 19.1 points per game, followed by senior Khai Chandler with 18.4 ppg. Sophomore guard Abigail Bullock has also added 13.3 ppg.
Flagler (10-4, 8-2) is led by senior 5-5 guard Bri Roberts with a 14.7 ppg average, while senior 5-11 forward Tiffany Hodge follows with 12.1 ppg and a 50.7 field-goal percentage. Junior 5-9 forward Rayven Wade chips in with 11.1 ppg, and junior 6-5 center Tabitha Odabe adds nearly a double-double at 9.6 ppg and 12.2 rpg for the Saints.
Francis Marion leads the all-time women's series 10-6, including six straight wins. The two squads are tied for second place in the PBC, only one-half game out of first.
On the men's side, the Patriots (10-5, 5-5) are led by 6-0 senior guard Detrek Browning with his 24.5 ppg average. He is coming off a career night where he scored a school-record 41 points to lead the Patriots to a 106-104 double-overtime victory over Augusta University. The Columbia native is looking to bag two more FMU career marks on Saturday. He needs three three-point field goals to break the school mark of 249 set by Evrik Gary (2010-14) and three minutes played to break the school mark of 3,516 minutes set by Terance Wood (1985-89).
Junior Brandon Parker is scoring at 14.0 ppg, while junior Ryan Davis has added 11.7 ppg. Senior forward Judah Alexander has recorded 8.0 ppg, while hauling down a team high 7.2 rpg. The Patriots are currently tied for fifth-place in the Peach Belt standings, but only one game out of the third spot.
Sophomore 6-4 guard Damerit Brown and junior 6-3 guard Vaughn McCall are both averaging 17.1 ppg for the Saints (6-8, 3-7), while senior 6-5 forward Cortlin Davis follows with 12.7 ppg.
The Patriots lead the men's series 14-3, including five consecutive victories. FMU head coach Gary Edwards captured his 550th career coaching win with the victory at Augusta, 161 of which have come at the helm of the Patriots.
