Morris led Patriots beat Lady Saints 3-1

GAFFNEY, S.C.- Sophomore Ardelia Morris pounded out a season-high 13 kills to lead Francis Marion University to a 25-19, 14-25, 25-21, 25-14 win over Limestone College, Tuesday night (Oct. 6) in volleyball action at the Timken Center.

Francis Marion improves to 8-9 overall, while the Lady Saints fall to 11-10.

Following Morris was junior Mallory Eggert with 12 kills. Jess O'Leary and Hallie Legg tallied 18 and 14 assists, respectively. Junior libero Kelsie Deaton recorded a team-high 18 digs and Ashlyn Underhill had 10 digs. Senior middleblocker Caitlin Simpson added seven blocks on the night.

Melissa Thomas had 10 kills for the Lady Saints. Laura Kerrison had 19 assists, while Danielle Seibert recorded 17. Holli Dawson and Brooke England posted 16 and 15 digs, respectively.

The Patriots host Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday at 5 p.m.
