FMU Netters beat Montevallo 8-1

MONTEVALLO, AL - Francis Marion University won two of three doubles matches and then swept all six singles matches as the 30th-ranked Patriots cruised to an 8-1 win over the University of Montevallo, Sunday afternoon (March 23) in Peach Belt Conference women's tennis action.

FMU ups its overall record to 7-3 and moves into fourth place in the PBC with a 4-2 mark.

The Patriots won the No.1 and No.2 doubles matches by 8-5 scores and then swept all six singles matches, although four of the contests went three sets.

FMU will play host to West Virginia State University on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.
