Francis Marion University junior Julia Graf has been named to the 2014 Peach Belt Conference preseason All-Conference Women's Tennis Team. The seven-player squad was announced following a vote by the league's coaches.
Graf, a native of Aerzen, Germany, compiled a 19-2 singles mark last season at the No. 2 and 3 positions, including a 9-2 record in conference play. Eighteen of her victories came in straight-set decisions.
She also posted a 21-6 doubles record at the No. 1 position, and earned first-team PBC All-Conference honors. Five of the six losses were to nationally ranked opponents.
Graf and sophomore Nora Westbye are ranked 16th in the 2014 preseason ITA doubles rankings for NCAA Division II.
Graf's career totals include a 36-4 singles mark and a 39-10 doubles record.
The Patriots, 23-4 last season, are ranked 12th in the ITA's preseason team rankings. FMU will open its 2014 campaign on Saturday at Barton College with first serve set for 1 p.m.
