#13 Patriots bounce UNCP 8-1
FLORENCE, SC – Thirteenth-ranked Francis Marion University took three easy wins in doubles and cruised to an 8-1 victory over UNC Pembroke, Wednesday afternoon (April 7) in Peach Belt Conference women’s tennis action.
FMU improves to 13-3 overall and 9-2 in the Peach Belt. Both the Patriot men’s and women’s teams will play at NCAA Division I South Carolina State University on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The second-ranked doubles team of Tereza Sykorova and Sabina Baberadova won their 10th straight decision with an 8-2 at the No.1 position, while Patriots Jitka Gavdunova and Mona Blauen improved to 15-1 on the season with an 8-1 win at the No.2 spot.
