Patriot Women fall in second half at KSU 2-1
KENNESAW, GA - Alyssa Nahan scored a pair of second-half goals to rally Kennesaw State University to a 2-1 win over Francis Marion University, Friday night (Aug. 28) in women's college soccer action.
Francis Marion (0-3-0) will play at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., on Sunday at 3 p.m. (eastern time).
Sophomore forward Kiley Williams put the Patriots up 1-0 when she scored off a cross from senior Jennifer Dyer in the 10th minute.
Mahan scored an unassisted goal in the 60th minute and then the match-winner at 65:44.
Kennesaw State outshot Francis Marion 15-8 and led 5-2 in corner kicks.
Sophomore Casey Durham minded the goal for FMU and registered seven saves.
