The Francis Marion University women's basketball program has set dates for its annual Team Camp and Individual Camp for the 2012 summer. A two-day Team Camp will be held on June 12-13, while the four-day Individual Camp will be held July 16-19.
The Team Camp has both a two-day or one-day component. The cost of the Team Camp for both days will be an $80 team deposit and $25 per player ($45 per player for those staying overnight on-campus). For one day, the cost is $40 per team and $15 per player.
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games per day. Play will be divided into varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels.
The Individual Camp, for players in grades three through 12, will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. The cost will be $150 per camper. Skill development in a small group environment will be offered to improve each player's game. Camp contests will include 1-on-1, 3-on-3, free throw, and hot shot competitions.
FMU head coach Kate Glusko, who is in her second season at Francis Marion and took the Patriots to the 2011 NCAA Tournament, will direct the camps. She is a graduate of West Virginia University where she played on two squads that advanced to post-season play. Other members of her staff will also assist with the camps.
