Patriots evenly split DH with Tampa
Senior southpaw Michaela Wolf pitched a seven-hitter and drove in three runs as Francis Marion University beat the University of Tampa 3-1 in the first game of their non-conference softball doubleheader on Thursday afternoon (March 18). However, Tampa returned the favor by rallying for a 3-1 victory in game two to salvage a split of the twinbill.

Patriot bats warm in Sunshine State, sweep Lions
Paced by junior right fielder Chelle Phillips’ six hits, Francis Marion University banged out 26 hits and scored 18 runs en route to a doubleheader sweep of Saint Leo University, Wednesday afternoon (March 17) in non-conference softball action. FMU won the opener 7-4 and game two 11-4.

Queens tops FMU 2-1 at Patriot Invitational
Senior left-hander Michaela Wolf doubled home one a run and pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts, but Francis Marion University fell 2-1 to Queens University of Charlotte, Sunday (March 14) on the final day of the Patriot Invitational Softball Tournament at Freedom Florence.
