FMU Softball hosts Patriot Invitational Tournament
The Francis Marion University women’s softball team will host its annual Patriot Invitational Tournament, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (March 12-14) at the Freedom Florence Recreational Complex. This year’s field includes eight teams.

Wolf and Heiser help Patriots to sweep of Cougars
Senior left-hander Michaela Wolf returned to action after a nearly two-week layoff and tossed a three-hit shutout, while freshman first baseman Meghan Heiser knocked in four runs as Francis Marion University swept a Peach Belt Conference softball doubleheader from Columbus State University on Wednesday afternoon (March 10), winning 8-0 in six innings and 7-4.

Schneider helps FMU sweep softball twinbill from Lander
Sophomore centerfielder Destinea Schneider collected five hits and her hits started game-winning rallies in both games of Sunday’s (March 7) Peach Belt Conference doubleheader as Francis Marion University swept a pair of games from Lander University, 4-3 and 3-2.
