(NEW) FMU Softball Field

With the opening of the Gerald R. Griffin Athletic Complex in 2012, the Francis Marion University softball program will move to the new FMU Softball Field.

The field will be part of the $11.1 million west campus athletic complex that will also include a lake, fieldhouse, baseball stadium, and soccer stadium.

The softball facility will consist of 300 seats with berm seating for 500 more spectators, concession area, restrooms, and pressbox.

The field dimensions will be 190 feet down each line, 213 feet to the power alleys, and 220 feet to center center.  Bullpens will be located down each foul line, and the first phase of the fieldhouse will be constructed adjancent to the right field side of the baseball field.

One main ticket office -- on the east side -- will serve the entire complex.
