Patriot Softball celebrates Wear Red Day
The Francis Marion University women's softball team will participate in the National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 5, and again on Sunday, Feb. 13 for its home opener.
The Patriots are joining millions of people who will wear red on Feb. 5 to speak up against heart disease, which is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States. The squad asks its fans to support this cause by donating to the American Heart Association.
Francis Marion is also asking its fans to wear red for the team's home opener on Feb. 13 against Georgia Southwestern State University at noon on the FMU Softball Field. Donations to the American Heart association will also be accepted that day.
