FMU schedules Summer Softball Camp 2010

Francis Marion University has announced the dates for a Summer Softball Camp, June 21-23, to be conducted by the Patriot Softball Program.

The camp, for girls ages 8-18, will include a day camp portion (ages 8-11) and an overnight component (ages 12-18).  The cost of the day camp will be $200 per camper and the overnight camp will be $300 per camper.

The camp will address throwing, infield and outfield play, pitching, catching, base running, bunting, and developing a productive fast-pitch swing.  It is designed to provide each player, regardless of skill level, a unique learning experience.

The Patriot softball program has registered at least 30 wins in 10 of the past 11 seasons, and in two of the past three years has advanced to the NCAA Tournament. 

Applications for the camp are now being accepted.  Enrollment is limited.
