Patriot Men knocked from PBC Tournament
FLORENCE, SC – The 29th-ranked Francis Marion University men's tennis team lost 5-3 to 42nd-ranked Flagler College, Thursday night (April 17) in consolation bracket action at the 2014 Peach Belt Conference Tennis Tournament.
FMU, seeded seventh in the tournament, concludes its tournament action with a 7-9 record. The sixth-seeded Saints (8-16) advance to the fifth-place match on Friday afternoon at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center.
Both players won their singles match in straight sets, but Flagler picked up singles victories at spots No.3, No.4, and No.5 to clinch the match.
