Francis Marion University has scheduled two sessions of its annual Tennis Camp 2013, June 17-20 and July 8-11, for boys and girls ages 8 to 18.
The camp will be held Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon on the Kassab Courts on the FMU campus.
The cost will be $60 per camper per session. Enrollment is limited. Each camper will receive a T-shirt.
FMU men’s and women’s tennis coach Garth Thomson is the camp coordinator and instructor. A native of Zimbabwe, Thomson is a graduate of Francis Marion and a former two-time All-American during his collegiate playing career. Five times he has earned Peach Belt Conference “Coach of the Year” honors. The 21st-year coach has led the FMU men to a 289-142 record and 16 NCAA Division II national tournament appearances, and guided the Patriot women to a 268-166 mark and 11 national tournament berths.
