ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – The Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams, both ranked 10th in the latest ITA rankings, claimed 6-3 Peach Belt Conference road wins over Flagler College on Sunday afternoon (April 1).

The FMU men upped their overall record to 8-3 and their conference mark to 5-2 by rallying from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to beat the 27th-ranked Saints (5-11, 2-5).  The Patriots earned singles wins from Alex Caspari (#1), Gavin Davison (#3), Jonathan Hain (#4), Tim Ruepke (#5), and Dirk Bair (#6).

The Patriot women (12-1, 7-1) won two of three doubles matches and then earned singles victories from Jitka Gavdunova (#1), Mona Blauen (#2), Tereza Baranova (#3), and Julia Graf (#5).  The 25th-ranked Flagler women drop to 7-7 and 6-3.

Both Francis Marion squads will play nationally ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University on Monday at 1 p.m. at Savannah's Bacon Park.  The Armstrong men are 16-0 and ranked first in Division II, while the Pirate women's squad is 14-0 and ranked third.
