Patriot netters tame Bobcats

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA - The nationally ranked Francis Marion University tennis teams claimed a pair of key Peach Belt Conference road wins on Friday afternoon (March 5) defeating Georgia College & State University.

The fourth-ranked and unbeaten FMU women took a 6-3 decision over the 31st-ranked Lady Bobcats, while the 15th-ranked Patriot men beat the 11th-ranked GCSU men 5-4.

The Patriot women improve to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the PBC, while the FMU men are 5-1 and 2-1. Both squads will play host to Tusculum College on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.
