FMU men's tennis falls 5-2 at PBC Tournament

FLORENCE, SC - The 17th-ranked and fifth-seeded Francis Marion University men's tennis team lost to ninth-ranked and fourth-seeded USC Aiken 5-2, Saturday morning (April 18) at the 2009 Peach Belt Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.

Francis Marion falls to 15-5 and must await the announcement of the NCAA Division II national tournament field to see if the squad will receive one of the at-large bids.

FMU lost three close decisions, 9-8, 8-5, and 8-6, in doubles competition. FMU sophomores Dilshod Sharifi and Karl Rogers won at No.2 and No.5 singles.
