Patriot Men's Soccer sets Family Weekend, Sept. 2-4
The Francis Marion University men's soccer team has scheduled its 2010 Family Weekend for September 2-4. The Patriots will play their first home contests of 2010 on Sept. 2 and on Sept. 4. A picnic will be held on campus at The Grille on the FMU campus at 7:30 on Friday (Sept. 3) to celebrate the season.

92 FMU Student-Athletes named to PBC Presidential Honor Roll
The Peach Belt Conference announced that a record 1,079 student-athletes have been named to the 19th-annual Presidential Honor Roll. The list includes 92 student-athletes from Francis Marion University, representing all 12 of its sponsored sports.

Arran McCarthy scored 5:46 into the first overtime session to give fourth-seeded University of Montevallo a 2-1 victory over fifth-seeded Francis Marion University, Tuesday evening (Nov. 3) in a quarterfinal match of the 2009 Peach Belt Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament. FMU (11-5-3) must wait to see if the Patriots receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
