Francis Marion adds golfing pair
Francis Marion University men’s golf coach Mark Gaynor has announced that Kurt Slattery of Taylor Ridge, Ill., and Fredrik Sporck of Horten, Norway, will join the Patriot program this fall. Slattery, 5-10, has been at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, for the past two seasons and will have two years of eligibility at FMU. Sporck, 5-11, is an incoming freshman.

Patriot golfer wins at St. Andrews Tournament
Francis Marion University freshman golfer Sean Morrison recently won the 62nd Boyd Quaich International Students’ Golf Tournament at St. Andrews, Scotland, while playing on the same course that hosted the British Open. FMU junior Andrew Weir placed 16th.

92 FMU Student-Athletes named to PBC Presidential Honor Roll
The Peach Belt Conference announced that a record 1,079 student-athletes have been named to the 19th-annual Presidential Honor Roll. The list includes 92 student-athletes from Francis Marion University, representing all 12 of its sponsored sports.
