Patriots stand 19th at Big 5 Tournament

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Sebastian Backlund and Kenneth Svanum each fired 77 scores on Saturday (Oct. 9) and Francis Marion University is in 19th position after the opening day of the Big 5 Tournament in Philadelphia.

Furman University leads the team standings, while Princeton University is second.  The Patriots carded a 311 team score on Saturday.

Both Backlund and Svanum are tied for 66th place.  Other FMU golfers include Sean Morrison tied for 76th position following a 78, Fredrik Sporck tied for 82nd (79), and  Travis Gantt tied for 94th (81).
