Three sessions of the “Four Great Days of Summer” Basketball Camp will be held June 18-21, June 26-29, and July 23-26 for boys in grades two through 10. A Summer Elite Camp will be offered July 27-28, and the 2012 Pee Dee Team Basketball Camp and Shootout will take place June 14-16.
The four-day Individual Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the camp is $150 for one session. The fee does not include lunch. A special discounted price of $250 is available for campers who wish to attend two sessions, and $300 for those attending all three sessions.
The camp is designed to provide fundamental instruction in all phases of the game.
The Elite Camp is for Class of 2013 high school graduates. This event is a teaching camp that will offer participants exposure to the FMU coaching staff. The cost is $150 for overnight campers and $110 for commuters. A $50 deposit is required.
For the team camp, squads are guaranteed six games and will compete in a double-elimination tournament on the final day of the camp. The cost of the camp is $475 per team ($425 for a second team) and $80 per player for two nights on-campus lodging and six meals (for those interested).
The team camp will be divided into varsity and junior varsity competitions.
All campers will receive a T-shirt.
FMU head coach Gary Edwards will direct the camps. He recently completed his fifth season at Francis Marion, a season that saw the Patriots post a third consecutive winning record. He has coached at both the NCAA Division I and II levels and has recorded 460 career wins in 27 seasons.
