FMU men's basketball schedules 2011 summer camps
The Francis Marion University men’s basketball program will sponsor several summer camps starting in the month of June.
2011 Four Great Days of Summer (individual) Camp
2011 Pee Dee Team Basketball Camp and Shootout
The four-day Individual Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the camp is $150 for one session. The fee does not include lunch. A special discounted price of $250 is available for campers who wish to attend two sessions, and $300 for those attending all three sessions.
The camp is designed to provide fundamental instruction in all phases of the game.
For the team camp, squads are guaranteed six games and will compete in a double-elimination tournament on the final day of the camp. The cost of the camp is $475 per team ($425 for a second team) and $15 per player per night for on-campus lodging (for those interested).
The team camp will be divided into varsity and junior varsity competitions. An All-Tournament Team will be selected at the close of the camp.
All campers will receive a T-shirt.
FMU head coach Gary Edwards will direct the camps. He recently completed his fifth season at Francis Marion, a season that saw the Patriots post a third consecutive winning record. He has coached at both the NCAA Division I and II levels and has recorded 460 career wins in 27 seasons.
