FMU schedules Baseball Camp 2013

Francis Marion University has announced two sessions of its Baseball Camp 2013, an opportunity for young athletes to develop and polish their diamond skills.

The annual camp, for children ages 7-12, will be held June 17-21 and July 15-19 from 9 a.m. until noon each day.  Conducted by Francis Marion head baseball coach Art Inabinet and members of the Patriot baseball team, the camps will stress learning basic game strategy and making the most of individual skills.

Inabinet is in his 13th year at the helm of the FMU baseball program, and has nearly 500 career coaching victories.  He has guided the Patriots to the 2011 Peach Belt Conference regular-season championship, the 2009 PBC Tournament title, seven NCAA Tournament appearances, and the 2006 NCAA Division II College World Series, while the program has consistently been ranked in the national Top 30 poll.

Applications for the camps are now being accepted.  The camps will cost $70 per session, if paid in advance, or $80 on the first day of camp.  Enrollment is limited.  Each camper will receive a T-shirt.
