Barkdoll named to NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team

Senior Jared Barkdoll was named to the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional All-Tournament Team as a designated hitter. The team was announced on Sunday afternoon (May 17).

Barkdoll, a native of Greencastle, Pa., batted 6-for-13 in Francis Marion's four games.  He scored three runs and drove in two runs.  Among his hits was the 50th double of his career, tying FMU's all-time record.

The Patriots finished third in the regional with a 2-2 mark.

Belmont Abbey College, the sixth and lowest seed, won the tournament by winning four straight games.
