Francis Marion adds golfing pair Francis Marion University men’s golf coach Mark Gaynor has announced that Kurt Slattery of Taylor Ridge, Ill., and Fredrik Sporck of Horten, Norway, will join the Patriot program this fall. Slattery, 5-10, has been at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, for the past two seasons and will have two years of eligibility at FMU. Sporck, 5-11, is an incoming freshman. |

Patriot Men's Soccer sets Family Weekend, Sept. 2-4 The Francis Marion University men's soccer team has scheduled its 2010 Family Weekend for September 2-4. The Patriots will play their first home contests of 2010 on Sept. 2 and on Sept. 4. A picnic will be held on campus at The Grille on the FMU campus at 7:30 on Friday (Sept. 3) to celebrate the season. |
