Athletic Training Services

The Francis Marion University Athletic Training Room in Smith University Center, just off the gymnasium, will be open for pre-game taping and treatments two hours before a contest and will remain open throughout the conclusion of competition for the day.

Modalities Available:

Ultrasound* Ice

Electrical Muscle Stimulation* Hydrocollator

Hot Whirlpool

Small Cold Whirlpool

*Written request from ATC or physician to use these modalities if certified athletic trainer does not accompany team

On the Bench:

(1) 10-gallon cooler of ice water

(1) Cooler of ice with bags

Cups

Vacuum splints and crutches will also be available for use as needed. EMS will be on call if needed. For any special needs or other treatment times, please contact head athletic trainer Spyder Webb or athletic trainer Joe Cauble at 843-661-1358.
